Tavoloo
    Feature · Coupons

A discount with no trail is just a gift.

Does the flyer with 10% off work? You do not know. Who used it, how much they spent, whether they would have come anyway: you do not know. On Tavoloo every code leaves a line, and at the end of the month you read the maths yourself.

A guest shows the code to a waiter
    What the guest sees

    Just the code

    1

    They get the code

By email, in a campaign, on a flyer or by word of mouth. It is a word, not an app to install.
    2

    They type it at checkout

They see the discount on the total straight away, before confirming. If the code is not valid, we say why.
    3

    You see the line

That redemption stays tied to that order. It is not a loose number: it is that code, that guest, that bill.

The table the code brought in, in black and white.

At the end of the month you know which code filled which evening, what it cost you and what it took. Then you decide whether to run it again.

    You set the rules

A discount with edges, not a hole in the till

    Percentage or fixed amount

10% off the total, or $5 flat. You decide which one makes sense for your margin.

    A real expiry date

The code stops working on its own at the date you set. No flyer coming back in January.

    Usage limit

A hundred redemptions and it closes. You can also cap it at one per guest, so the same person cannot use it over and over.

    Minimum spend

The discount only kicks in above a threshold, so you do not give margin away on a small order.

    Days of the week

Valid only on Tuesday and Wednesday, if that is when the room is empty. The day is worked out in your venue timezone.

Does not stack with the first-order discount

The larger of the two wins, and when the coupon loses it is not consumed: it stays valid for next time.
    The number

What the panel tells you, and what it does not

    Recorded redemptions

How many times that code was actually used, not how many you printed.

    Discount given

The exact amount you left on the table. The cost of the campaign, in money.

    Revenue with coupons

What the orders that used a code actually spent. Right next to the discount, so the comparison is yours.

    Guests and average ticket

How many different people used it and how much they spent on average.

    One thing said plainly

You will not find an "estimated ROI" on this screen. An estimated return is built by assuming what the guest would have spent, and at that point the number says whatever you want it to. If a coupon has no redemptions yet, the panel tells you it has no redemptions. We prefer an empty field to a number that makes you decide badly.

Coupons that go out on their own

Three occasions you do not want to remember by hand

    Birthday

The guest has a birthday and gets their code, with your name on it. You do nothing.

    Guest who stopped coming

After the number of days you set, whoever disappeared gets a reason to come back.

    Promotion of the moment

An evening to fill, a new dish, an event: you create the code and send it to your list.
